We conduct combustion and fluids engineering research to develop cleaner and more efficient industrial combustion processes for the next generation of fuels, engines and combustion devices. We specialize in research on propulsion systems, with an emphasis on overall and component performance testing of airborne and industrial gas turbines. These tests include icing, bird ingestion and endurance trials, as well as complex development work.

Clients call on us to perform research and development in a number of areas that include: Performance analysis and evaluation for aero and land-based gas turbine engines, including high altitude simulations; Environmental and engine icing certification testing and analysis; Tribological (friction and wear) testing, analysis and modeling (including mechanical equipment and rotating machinery); Gas turbine engine aerodynamics; Applied combustion research towards low-emission combustors; Spray and mixing characterization.
