P4BUS makes available to AM users an open format specification, for DESIGNERS and MANUFACTURERS to share digital data along the AM process chain. The P4BUS printing protocol embeds the physical properties of objects, in a new technique for coding, transmitting and receiving 3D design files, including data used in the build process to construct AM parts and assemblies. Same format can be used to create a Digital Twin of the 3D-printed part, and feed it back data from in-situ monitoring and testing.
